This even gives greater concern on either performance issues or poor mouse and keyboard support on the PC that they don't want to spill out before initial sales are past. Review embargoes usually lift 1-3 days before the game releases I believe. And if they were so afraid of spoilers they wouldn't have put out a demo on the consoles, but didn't bring on out for the PC. When spoilers are an issue companies will specify which parts of the game reviewers are allowed to show (how many hours in, what chapters, etc.) and that happens all the time and works just fine. Yeah, anyone who thinks an embargo that close to release is about spoilers is extremely naive and doesn't know how this industry operates. Bandai Namcos psychokinectically powered action-RPG is fast approaching, and weve got about fours worth of hands-on impressions to share.
Unless a game leaks or something, spoilers isn't really an issue considering reviewers know better than to spoil the game in the review.which is why that embargo logic doesn't make sense to me. Usually when publisher is confident in a game they allow reviews weeks in advance, if it's a day or two before the game comes out it's a little worrying.
